Competetion is a proven stimulator of innovation, creativity and the free market economy. Yet, the irony is that at some point in ordr to solidy our positions in the international marketplace and to truly accelerate growth, we will ultimately benefit most by collaborating with various other individuals and enterprises, some in different fields, some in related fields, and some -- our competitors, in order to consolidate costs and create larger-scale operating efficiences.

Every business will reach a point where collaboration becomes the logical replacement performance paradigm for competition. It is just a matter of when. And at the present time, given the proliferation of social media and the difficult global economy, the trend is that business are starting to shift to collaboration mode much earlier.

I believe that this trend will continue, especially given the media atention given to the economies and efficiencies of crowdsourcing and greater transparency to invite others in to assess your problems and assist you in solving them.

You'll need both cometition and collaboration, in turn to build the most solid business enterprises. And Internationaism increases the possible candidates and prospects dramatically.
